What is FR sheer curtain fabric?

Ayhan Denizci states that flame-retardant options are available for hotels, public buildings, and yachts under international standards. That does not mean every collection colour ships FR from the shelf. Project volume, test, and lead time are planned separately.
A working process for hotel projects
- The architect or purchasing team sends the fire consultant’s test code to the mill.
- The mill proposes a sheer group (voile, batiste, and so on) and an FR route.
- A sample is cut for both aesthetics and the lab.
- After an approved report, colour lock and production meters are written.
- The report copy travels with the packing list.
International chains and independent hotels do not ask for the same FR
A chain hotel ties the spec to a brand standard (often NFPA or the chain’s vendor manual). An independent boutique looks at the local fire service and the insurance policy. Two projects in the same city can produce two test codes. Telling the mill “make it FR” is not enough; write the code. Ayhan Denizci proposes a sheer group and an FR path against that code — it does not keep a universal “hotel sheer” on the shelf.
Yachts and public buildings are stricter still. Marine and hospital jobs put wash cycles into the report. Finish-type FR can weaken in a hotel laundry; yarn-type lasts longer but changes hand and light. Liking the colour in a mock-up room does not erase a report rejection at handover.

- Ask for the aesthetic sample and the lab cutting from the same lot.

Will one report cover every hotel campus?
No. A different width, weight, or finish can need a fresh assessment. Chains want a current report per quality. “Similar cloth, last year’s report” may not pass.
